When hiring a consulting firm to help and provide value during the software evaluation process, what should we be looking for?
I would focus on a couple of key areas: One, have they done this before and do they have testimonials and references. Two, do they have a proven methodology and can they explain it to you. Three, ask if they are willing to only work on the software evaluation, and not on the accompanying implementation. Four, ask them how many people they are going to put on the engagement for most software evaluations, one person should suffice.
