When going on a trip to Cuba Cayo Coco what should one bring in order of importance?
You won’t be paying at the restaurants in Cayo Coco so it might be a little difficult to know what 10% will be (unless you’re paying for a lobster dinner and not booked as VIP). What I do is about $3-6 CUC a day for meal tipping. You can do $1-2 CUC per meal if you wish. You don’t have to tip every time you get a drink at the bar…so you could just give a few extra dollars at one time and the bartender/server will keep serving you. For the maids, about $1-2 CUC per day as well…or leave little gifts if you like (such as toiletries, etc). The hotel internet cafes charges about $6 CUC/hour usage. The ice cubes on the resort are made from bottled water and the water served in the restaurants are also bottled. Even though the water in the hotel rooms (and even throughout Cuba) are considered potable, it’s best to use bottled water. It doesn’t cost much to buy the water bottles at the hotels. You could always ask your waiter/waitress to refill your bottle when you go to the restaurant. Bu
