When going for a group interview?
I’ve been to a few group interviews. They are looking for a person who stands out from the crowd, so do not sit back and be quiet. Answer questions, volunteer to go first with any of the activities, and smile. When they ask about yourself, tell them any recent work history, any activities you participate in, and what you like doing in your spare time. Keep it short, project your voice, be upbeat and look at the others when you speak. Don’t mention that you like hanging out with your friends, they really don’t care about that.
ok i’ve been to many of these interviews so here are my tips from personal experience. – Try not to be too shy because they want someone who can interact in a group atmosphere and stand out from the crowd – Always look at someone when they are talking to you or the group, eye contact and a smile never go astray – Try to not look too nervous, although everyone is nervous to an extent – Keep an eye on your body language, they will be. Remember to sit tall, dont have your hands in your pockets all the time – Speak clearly and at a level where the whole room can hear you easily if you are speaking to the group (sometimes activities involve this) – Try not to fidget too much with clothing, hair, face, pens etc… – Remember above all BE YOURSELF, dont try to make yourself look better by exagerating they want someone who is comfortable with themselves and confident when asked to tell about myself i always say something like, ” My name is ___, I am __ years old. I am married and i live in ___
