When getting married how do the long gloves work with the rings?
You have three options! 1. Leave the gloves on during most of the ceremony and slip off the left one when it’s time to exchange rings. Your officiant or Maid of Honor can hold it for you then pass it back when you’re done. 2. Wear the gloves down the aisle and take them off once you reach the altar. Your officiant or Maid of Honor can hold them for you through the ceremony. You’ll get the lovely photo of you coming down the aisle with your pristine white gloves but you don’t have to worry about messing with them during the ceremony. No fuss, no muss! 3. Cut a small slit on the underside of the glove’s ‘ring finger’ so you can easily bend your finger down and out the hole. Usually gloves are made of a nylon/synthetic material that gives them a little stretch room. The extra fabric will slip easily back on after you’ve gotten your ring and you won’t have to pass the gloves to anyone!
