When getting an epidural in the lumbar or cervical spine for pain, does it cause weight gain?
Wow I just returned from the doctors office and this is the first thing I see! I had an epidural in my neck a year ago and asked at that time for one in the lumbar. Today they want to do the lumbar. At the time of the first one the surgeon told me if I am not mistaken that different medicines can be used in the injection. He wouldn’t do the lumbar at that time because he said the body wouldn’t handle that much. Now over the year I have experienced moderate weight gain but I thought that was due to difficulty in exercise, I used to be very active. You have given me something to worry about. I do appreciate your post because I had never heard that.
