When financing or restructuring is needed, why do mostly British and American investors jump in, not Germans?
It’s certainly not a business model open exclusively to U.S. and British investors. Still, the idea and implementation of the private equity business model and all its consequences comes from the Anglo-Saxon world. So, naturally, the British and American groups’ competitive advantage over the Germans is very big. You mentioned KKR’s consulting services. What were they exactly? By consulting services I also meant the service provided by experience. Behind a company logo there are always people. The success of KKR has been built up by very experienced people. Today, Demag Cranes has three business segments. One is industrial cranes, which includes products such as standard cranes, process cranes and the complete components business such as cable winches and chain hoists. The second segment is s
