When Excel keeps changing Numeric Values into dates in the cell how do i stop this from happening?
With Excel as it is one gigantic table and therefore made up of individual cells, each cell therefore has its own individual formatting. To display a certain format in cells, it is advisable, a bit like chess, to think of your moves beforehand and format the cells appropriately before you enter the data. So, just highlight all the cells in which you are going to enter data which you want to be numeric and right button of mouse down to format cells, number, and select the numeric format you want. Alternatively if you already have a numeric format in one cell, click on format painter icon and drag mouse over the other cells you want to copy, thus copying the format.
