Changing the configuration of numerous routing devices across campus is a daunting task, and will not occur all at once. IPX and AppleTalk will no longer be supported after 12:01am on Tuesday, 01 October 2002, and is subject to being turned off at any time after that. We will attempt to notify departmental administrators prior to the making changes that will affect their networks. (In some cases, where networks span multiple departments, we will attempt to notify administrators throughout the affected building). In addition, we will make announcements on the Micronet and MAGNet mailing lists, as well as the ucb-net-announce@UCLink list, the latter of which is reflected to the USENET group ucb.net.announce.
