When drawing a food web, which way does the arrow point?

0

Generally, there is a food web and a food chain. The food web is an extension of the food chain thus making it more complex. The arrows of a food chain point up because of what it is eaten by. Such as these three: grass, cow, human. Grass is on the lowest tier; then an arrow points up indicating it is eaten by the cow, which is the second tier; then an arrow pointing up indicating it is devoured by of course us. Yum. The food web extends the chain concept and shows a bunch of other animals, plants, and bacteria. There is no direction of arrow because they go in all directions, thus forming webs.
