Presently, the federal U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) regulations require that regulated asbestos-containing materials (RACM) must be removed prior to the demolition of any building or structure or prior to any renovation where the RACM would be disturbed.
