When does my Daughter start Pre-school and Primary School?
Depends on how many years you want her to attend preschool. In our area, three year old and four year old preschools are available. They start that year when they’re that age. Ex, she would start 3yo preschool in August/September before she turns 4. So, she wouldn’t start next fall (she’d still be two), she’d start 3yo the following year (2012)….unless the cut-off date is after her birthday. You might want to also check with your school district to find out what the cut off date is for incoming kindergartners. Some schools have moved the date back. Most likely, she would start kindergarten the fall before she turns 6. In my opinion, if the cut off date for kindergarten is October 31st, I would not put her in kindergarten until she was 5 (the fall before turning 6).
