A. A Single Trip or Gap Year travel insurance policy is designed to protect you whilst travelling between the start and end dates of your policy. Specifically, you are covered from the time you leave your home to commence your journey until your arrival back home. However, from the moment you purchase the policy, you do have Cancellation cover for the cost of your trip, up to the limits of your chosen policy level.
