When does a professional staff member become eligible for permanent appointment?
• A: If granted, a permanent appointment takes effect no later than in the seventh year of full-time employment. However, to insure the mandatory 12 months notice in the case of a non-renewal, the process for permanency should begin early in the sixth year of employment with the college.
