Applications for boardwalks are submitted to the Transportation Review Unit if state or federal transportation funds of any type are being utilized for any portion of the project and the applicant is a Public Transportation Agency. If projects are completely funded with private or local funds, the applications go through the DEQ’s Permit Consolidation Unit.
