When do whippet puppies get their adult coats?
She has her ‘adult’ coat. Whippets don’t develop a different coat or color as they mature. Very young puppies may be darker than what they will be when older, but at 5 1/2 months, she has the coat and color she will always have. Many Whippets have dark pigment on the skin, this will not go away and it will not make her coat spotted, except as you have noticed, it shows up when she is wet. Good luck with your Whippet, I’ve had the breed for 35 yrs and they are the best.
