When do the 400 lottery winners get to drive the park road?
They each get one day during mid-September, from Friday through Monday. Check the Denali National Park Web site for specific date information. • In 2004, the Park Service announced that it will begin charging $10 per entry in the lottery. Winners will pay an additional $35 for their permit. A family of four that enters and wins, therefore, would pay $75 for the permit. • How do you apply? Only one entry per person is accepted. There is no limit on the number of entries per family and no age limit. Applications are accepted from July 1 through July 31. (You’ll have to wait until 2004 to enter again.)
