When do senegal birds starts talking?
It is possible to train a lot of parrots to be handled, although i’m not sure about the Senegal, i’ve only ever captive bred and not as a pet. I once imported a Green Wing Macaw to the UK direct form South America and he was wild and very big. After tolerating the noise and disturbance for a couple of weeks I gradually tamed the bird more and more, eventually to the point where he would take a peanut ever so gently out of my lips, he would lay on his back like a baby in my arms… it was awsome!… However, when I travelled to France for a 2 week holiday, we put the Macaw outside with a new mate, upon my return the first thing I did was rush to see him, he approached the door and I foolishly stuck my finger in……I need not go any futher but it wasn’t pleasant! This happened as he had reverted back to his wild instincts and become protective of his mate. But is just goes to show that most parrots are trainable as long as you provide them with the right environment and attention. As f
