When do overlimit or late payment fees apply?
From 15 December 2009, in relation to credit cards, an Overlimit Fee will be charged to your account when you make a purchase or cash advance, or have a recurring payment, which, if processed, would temporarily cause your outstanding balance to exceed your credit limit. In this situation, ANZ may allow the debit to be processed as an Informal Overlimit amount subject to certain conditions being met (refer to Credit Card Conditions of Use for further details), A Late Payment Fee will be charged if you do not pay at least the minimum amount as indicated on your monthly statement by the Due Date. In either case a fee of $20 may be added to your account. If you receive a Government benefit and hold an ANZ Access Basic account, no Overlimit or Late Payment Fees will apply. For information on eligibility for an ANZ Access Basic account please go to anz.com or your local ANZ branch. ANZ only charges one Overlimit Fee in any one monthly statement cycle, but any over limit amounts are payable i
