When do I use the FOAP Organization Code versus the Owner Organization Code in obtaining a report from PosMan Report – Multiple Positions Listing?
The FOAP Organization criteria would be used to find all positions within a specific Banner Finance organization; whereas the Owner’s Organization will provide a list of only those positions specifically assigned to that organization code. The FOAP Organization criterion is crucial for areas where departments/units have been merged into a single unit or as a subunit of a larger area. Example: The Department of Planning was moved from the College of Technology and Computer Sciences (CTCS) to the Harriot College of Arts and Sciences (HCAS). Because the Department of Planning was in CTCS when the university converted to Banner, its organization code begins with 58. The College of Arts and Sciences departments begin with 59. When Planning moved from one college to the other, its organization code did not change; however the organization roll up did change.
