When do I need to install a line amplifier for RG-6 IFL cable runs?
Per the StarBand Field Services Bulletin SB-0015-1.10, line amplifiers are required when RG-6 IFL cable runs exceed 140ft. When the IFL cable run exceeds 275 ft, RG-11 cable is recommended instead of RG-6. Please refer to the StarBand FSB below for instructions on installing the line amplifiers for the transmit (Tx) and receive (Rx) IFL cables.
