Preen Garden Weed Preventer Plus Fertilizer can be applied at anytime around spring flowering bulbs. The best time to apply, however, is in late winter or early spring prior to bulb emergence. If applying after the green leaves have appeared, be careful not to get the material on the leaves or into the crown of the plant as discoloration or flower stunting could result. For summer flowering bulbs that are planted in the spring, plant bulbs first, water in thoroughly, then apply Preen Garden Weed Preventer Plus Fertilizer.
