When do employers receive the outcome of a CRB check?
Employers receive an email from CRC on the same working day or the day after we receive the Disclosure outcome from the CRB. The email will say one of two things. • If the Disclosure contains no information at all, employers will be notified that the Disclosure contains Nothing to Report, meaning there is nothing in the Disclosure to influence a recruitment decision. • If the Disclosure contains some information (e.g. details of a criminal conviction or other relevant information), employers will be informed of a Notification status, meaning that it contains information that may influence a recruitment decision. The email will not state what that information is though. Employers have to wait to receive the hard copy of the Disclosure outcome which we will post to you that same day.
