When do Buddhist people pray?
Buddhist is a Philosophy therefore it does not require praying to god/s. What seems to others as praying is actually honoring or reverence to the Teacher. The most famous teacher is Shakyamuni Siddharta Gotama (the Buddha), who teaches on ways to End Suffering and does not claim to be a god. However, there are Syncretic-Buddhism where the followers combine their worship of their god/s with the Philosophy of Buddhism; like in Japan, China, Himalayas, etc.
