When displaying coverage annotation it looks different than in ARCPLOT or ARCEDIT. How can I make them display the same in ArcMap?
Since ArcMap doesn’t support the same symbolsets and fonts that ArcInfo uses, you can’t make them exactly identical. However, you can specify the font and other symbol characteristics used for each symbol in your coverage annotation. The fonts you can access are limited to TrueType fonts available on your system. To change how coverage annotation is displayed, right-click the annotation layer in the table of contents and choose Properties. On the Symbol tab, select each symbol ($SYMBOL) in the list and set the desired font and other characteristics. Notice that setting the size will only affect annotation features where the pseudo item ($SIZE) equals zero (0). Other pseudo items, such as $OFFSETX, cannot be used in ArcMap.
