When did the State Planning Policy: Mitigating the Adverse Impacts of Flood, Bushfire and Landslide come into affect?
On 1 September 2003 as a joint initiative of the Departments of Local Government and Planning and Emergency Services. The purpose of the policy is to ensure natural hazards are adequately considered in Council’s Planning Scheme. It allows a consistent approach to planning throughout the State.
