The Lewis and Clark expedition began on May 14th, 1804 in St. Louis, Missouri on River Dubois. Though, Lewis started at in the spring of 1803 Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to get training and supplies which was supposed to be the beginning of the expedition however the whole group including Clark and recruits started at St. Louis.
