The countdown to the 62nd annual Ithaca Community Fireworks Show will begin this afternoon when you hear the booming sounds emanating from South Hill. Beginning at 2 p.m. today, there will be an aerial salute set off every hour as a reminder the show is a go. Fireworks are scheduled to start after dark, around 9:30 or 9:45 p.m., at Ithaca College.
