When did Springsteen play St. Vincents College?
During my 1977-78 year in college. Remember it well. What famous groups played at Cal State U when you went there? OK, this takes some thinking. The New Riders of the Purple Sage, The Outlaws, Michael Bolton (and yes, he was booed loudly), Seals and yawn Crofts, Atlanta Rhythmn Section, the Iron City House Rockers and the James King Band. I don’t recall any others. WLSW’s Jeff Girard had on last week as a on air guest the lady, Rosie the webchick, who designs his site. She talked about different groups who played the Hollywood Theater there. Forgot about Ted Nugent shooting the bow from stage and the arror traveling above the crowd, out the side door and hitting the door to the Golden Eagle Bar caddy corner across the street. This was off campus, though. Others such as Diamond Reo played that venue, too.
