When did Kasa’s begin selling this pizza?
Well, here is the true story: In 1977, Mike opened his first pizzeria in Shawnee, PA. Then, after 20 years, he grew to have 8 pizzerias in the Pocono Mountain area. In the summer of 1997, Mike had the idea to make REAL Pizza in a factory, and to sell it to foodservice operators so they could sell real pizza without the headaches of making pizza from scratch. Our first case of Kasa’s “Pizza by the Slice” was sold in July 1997.
