When did Jupiter begin to go into “retrograde”?
Jupiter went in retrograde today June 16. He was stationery on the 15th and not yet retrograde. Depending on your natal chart and whether he is retrograde or not, Jupiter normally represents abundance and optimism with a happy-go-lucky attitude bent toward overindulgence. When retrograde, he denies the uncanny luck but brings faith and practicality and takes on a degree of Saturn and is not so inclined to freedom. Jupiter, when Direct, is pomp and ceremony; when retograde, he is more modest, appreciative, respecting ceremony but being satisfied with less elegance. A quick note……if Jupiter is well placed in your natal chart and well aspected, he still promises positive results when retrograde but, less abundantly. If he is retrograde at birth, than this is a period of reflection.
