When did Greece first liberalise telecommunications networks and/or services?
Greece has been given derogation from the EU in applying the first bundle of liberalisation Directives as far as networks were concerned. Eventually, full liberalisation was introduced by Law 2867/2000 that was enacted in December 2000. 1.2 Has Greece fully implemented the EU 2003 regulatory framework ? if Greece has not fully implemented the new regulatory framework, have proceedings been brought against Greece by the European Commission and if so, for which contraventions? Greece was very late in implementing the EU 2003 regulatory framework. This was both the result of extreme internal pressures from established players in both the field of fixed and mobile telephony and a change in the Government that delayed the parliamentary process.
