When did design efforts start on the GHS55 site?
Preliminary design efforts began in early to mid November 2001. Actual implementation of the site was about the first week of December 2001. However, enhancements and modifications are an on going task and as long as this site exists, there will always be a need for some upkeep. Top of Menu Get me out of here! Question (4) – What software package was used to develop the site? Well….actually none. There are a number of fancy software packages available to develop web sites, but the originator of the GHS/55 page is somewhat on the stubborn side and since he was familiar with HTML tags and coding methods, it was decided to do it the old fashioned way and no special software packages were used. Of course it is impractical to “reinvent the wheel” so a few things (like hit counters, polls and guest books) were borrowed from existing sources. Top of Menu Get me out of here!
