When determining the $100,000 exclusion, does salary include all components of salary, such as longevity, benefit replacement pay, overtime and hazardous duty pay?
No. Longevity, benefit replacement pay, hazardous duty, overtime and other special payments/entitlements will not be included in the determining salary calculation. The Comptroller’s guidance is that the authorized base salary as of Aug. 1, 2009, be used to determine exclusion from eligibility for the payment.
