When describing music played in a piano, other than tempo, dynamics, and texture, what else could be described?
Answer Thank you for your note. I have not heard the “content” of piano music described as texture, dynamics and tempo ~ but it is a very interesting perspective. I am not sure what question you are asking ~ in your search for a “Description”….. Perhaps, you could clarify. Fugues are wonderful pieces that consist of variations on a melody/theme with counterpoint. It is similar to the Two/Three Part Inventions. My favorite pieces are those written by J.S. Bach. Glenn Gould was a master at performing Bach ~! If you’d like to hear some of the type of music I’m referring to, treat yourself and purchase one of his recordings. Fugues are not easy to play ~ nor are the Inventions ~ but if you have mastered the keyboard and have a solid skill with scales (razorsharp technique), you will enjoy playing them. Again, if you’d like to clarify your question regarding the “makeup” of piano, I’d be happy to respond.
