When can people visit CMH patients?
We have an open door, 24 hour a day visiting schedule. Columbia Memorial Hospital would like to encourage visiting hours that promote rest and patient well-being. Please consider patient privacy, emotional and healthcare needs. Due to the nature of their patient care, units such as Critical Care, and Intensive Care would ask that visitors check with staff and patients on when would be the best time to visit. While it’s good common sense, it bears repeating – please do not visit patients if you yourself are sick with a cold, flu or anything else that could be contagious. General Guidelines: • When necessary, limitations on the number and frequency of visitors may be imposed at the discretion of the physician or nurse for the protection of the patient’s health and need to rest. • If you have contagious illness, please postpone your visit until you are well. • When possible, the patient has the right to participate in the decision regarding visitors. • Visitors may be requested to leave f
