When can my puppy start obedience training?
This asker already has the puppy so it’s pointless griping on that it is too young to leave it’s mother. I start training my puppies as soon as they have settled in with me. Training a puppy or a dog of any age must be fun. Play train your puppy for several short sessions a day and continue to train it for the rest of it’s life. I introduced my last dog to the clicker when she was nine weeks old, throughout her life she became exited when she saw the clicker. Hopefully you have a fenced garden/yard and you can train her there using treats or toys as rewards. In fact when you are training her to do anything new she should be trained in the garden without distractions, you can then progress to a safe fenced field with a minimal amount of distractions before you can expect perfection in any situation.
