When can I stop sterilising the feeding equipment?
It is essential that all equipment used in bottle feeding is thoroughly sterilised before each feed. There are many ways of sterilising but whichever method is used, all bottles and teats should be sterilised for as long as they are used. Other feeding equipment, such as feeding beakers, bowls and spoons, should be sterilised until your baby is 6 months old. After this, thorough washing is adequate.
