Nemasys Leatherjacket Killer should be applied when the soil temperature is at a minimum of 12°C (54°F) and the leatherjackets are at the correct stage in their life cycle. This will be from late August till the end of October. When you start to see the adult crane fly (daddy-longlegs) in your garden (towards the end of August) you will know that in a few days they will be laying eggs. These will hatch quickly, so aim to apply two weeks after you see the adults.
