When can an independent candidate begin collecting signatures?
A. If the office which the independent candidate is seeking does not appear in the April 11, 2006 primary runoff election, an independent candidate may begin collecting signatures the day after the primary election day. If the office which the independent candidate is seeking appears on the primary runoff election ballot, the candidate may not begin collecting signatures until after primary runoff election day.
