When can a trader reject a delivery of horticulture produce?

0

A trader must accept all horticulture produce delivered under a horticulture produce agreement unless the agreement specifies circumstances in which horticulture produce may be rejected. A trader can reject horticulture produce only if one of these specified circumstances arises. If a trader rejects any produce, the trader must: • contact the grower immediately (by telephone, fax, email or other electronic means) and advise them that the produce has been rejected • advise the grower in writing of the rejection and give reasons for the rejection within the timeframe specified in the horticulture produce agreement.
