When can a Prince Albert piercing be “used?”?
Typically about five days but depends on how fast hubby heals… yes there is a risk of infection if healing hasn’t at least started, however it is well to remember that the only sterile product of the human body is urine – so a Prince Albert piercing is self sterilising – this tends to help things along… Any danger of losing part of the jewellery is mitigated by the gauge of the jewellery, I would advise a VERY SLOW increase in gauge once the piercing site has fully healed, after about six weeks… but you don’t have to wait that long to start enjoying the benefit… as soon as he feels comfortable with the metalwork is probably the time for a gentle start, the wild n’ crazy stuff will follow.
