When can a practitioner overrule the permission given by a person responsible for somebody in need of Reiki?
From an ethical point of view, we have to ask permission from the person in charge of that someone’s care in order to give Reiki, someone who is not accountable for themselves, like minors, handicapped people, or dependent elders. However, since that case falls into the excepted category, we can do so, without asking to be compensated.
