When can a child refuse visitation?

0

Unless a judge says otherwise, the child MUST go on her visitation. The courts have ruled that the child’s right to have a relationship with both their parents supercedes a teenager’s right to a social life (which is not a right at all). And if the child doesn’t go voluntarily, the courts will make the child go…which won’t be pleasant for the child. And the custodial parent may be penalized because of a little something called “parental alienation” and they may even lose custody to the other parent. It is best to obey the court order….
