When Barry Bonds breaks Hank Aarons home run record will you cheer, boo, or be indifferent?
I will be pretty indifferent to be honest. Leaving aside the controversy over performance-enhancing drugs, he has such an obnoxious personality according to nearly everyone who has ever met him; yeah, he is a great hitter and always has been even before taking (or not taking) anything, but he is not the kind of man you want at the pinnacle of the game, as an ambassador for the game, and so to see him sitting at the top of the tree ahead of all the other players who were not only great hitters but great role models for their generation like Hank Aaron was, that wouldn’t sit too well with me. I am hoping for A-Rod to keep up his hot streak beyond April and set up a chase for Bonds single season HR record of 73, that would distract from Barry’s glory and would p*** him off no end!!!
