When automatically collecting GCPs from a chip database in OrthoEngine, what channel should I select as my Match Channel?
When matching chips, you are only allowed to match them to one channel of your uncorrected image. If your chips were collected using a specific band width, then you would want to specify the band in your uncorrected image that most resembles your chips (i.e. wavelength). This will help you get the best correlation. You will be able to tell which channel is the best match from the values found in the C1, C2 and C3 columns in the Images table. C1, C2 and C3 are successive correlation scores (see the Help for more details). Test it out and see what band you have the best success with. This can be trial and error. Also, if you have an image where one of the bands is offset by a few pixels, you should stay away from this channel when collecting your GCP’s.
