When attempting to run Nascar 2 in “Network Play” mode, I get a “Failed to Initialize IPX Card.” What can I do about this?
This is a deceiving message. The problem likely has nothing to do with an IPX card. There are two likely causes and simple solutions to this. The most likey cause of this error is a corrupted “Multi.lst” cars file list in the Nascar 2 “Cars” directory. You have likely deleted a car that is referenced in the list. Copy the original Multi.lst from the Nascar 2 CD. You may get this message if you are attempting to run Nascar 2 from a different operating system than you installed it. In other words, you installed from Dos and are attempting to use Network Play from Windows95 or vice-versa. Re-install Nascar 2 from the same operating system that you wish to launch it for Network Play.
