When Ariel Sharon said “Better to be live Judeo-Nazis than dead Saints?” was he admitting something that?
In the days shortly after the foundation of Israel, Ariel Sharon was commander of a the notorious Unit 101 that was charged with carrying out ‘special reprisals across the state’s borders’. This unit was associated with the massacre of Arab villagers but no charges were ever brought. In 1992 Sharon effectively supervised the massacre of Muslim Arabs in Lebanon by the Christian Phalange militia. Being such an emotive subject, people must form their own opinions after comparing the methods of the Israelis and the Nazis.
