When are peole going to realise that manufacturing and the private sector are the backbone of the country?
I include farming as part of the manufacturing sector. If you work in the public sector whether you be a doctor, nurse, refuse collector, cleaner, you are effectively paid for by the private sector. If employment and profitability in the private sector falls there will be reduced amounts of cash to pay the costs of the public sector and jobs there will be lost too or taxes will have to be raised to unsustainable levels. Without manufacturing there is no independent wealth creation, only a system that passes money from one area to another, no new wealth is created.
