They are made in late April/early May. 7. If my child is not initially selected for ALP Language Arts or Seminar can he/she be re-evaluated and move into these classes in grade 7 and/or 8 if qualified? Who should I talk to if I think my child should be re-evaluated? Yes. Students may nominate themselves and parents may nominate their child for testing for the ALP Language Arts/Seminar Program. The testing is done in February or March for possible placement in the new school year. If you want to nominate your child, you should notify the guidance counselor and ask him/her to contact the ALP teacher or ALP Coordinator to place your child on the list of students to be re-evaluated.
