You apply to the university first. They will (hopefully!) send you a letter of acceptance which you will need you help you with your visa application. UK Visas are actually pretty straightforward. As far as I remember, you get points for having a good level of English (I’m guessing it’s your first language, so no problems there), acceptance to an accredited school (like the university) and having sufficient funds. You should be allowed to work up to 20 hours a week during your stay. The points system is kind of weird because you basically have to hit every item on the list to get enough points. You can’t miss one thing and make it up with something else, for example. As long as you provide all the documentation they ask for you should be fine. Good luck studying in London!
